Blue Bell Country Club is celebrating its 25th year as a premier country club in Montgomery County with a lineup of 25 events to celebrate each year of existence.
With the assistance of Hansen Properties, Blue Bell Country Club leads the market by continually reinvesting in the property and enhancing its amenities. We had a chance to catch up with Bud Hansen, President of Hansen Properties Inc., about this very personal milestone anniversary…
"The 25th Anniversary of Blue Bell Country Club has been bittersweet for me personally. The club has achieved our greatest successes over recent years and the condition of the golf course has been outstanding. The members have been incredibly supportive and are a joy to be around. That said, it is disappointing to not be able to share all of this with my dad who was the founder of the Club and an integral part of our current success. "
Since its inception, Blue Bell Country Club has been at the vanguard of innovation in the Greater Philadelphia region, trailblazing new concepts such as the inclusion of cart fees in its golf membership. 2018 marked the completion of major course renovations, including a new irrigation system and the installation of the Billy Bunker lining system in the bunkers. This includes over 1,200 irrigation heads and more than 100 large trucks of sand, along with 3 football fields of sod, providing a tremendously rewarding golf experience for years to come. Additionally, Arnie’s Sports Bar & Restaurant, a fire-pit lounge, outdoor cocktail area, and renovated men’s locker room were completed for leisure activities. In 2019, Blue Bell Country Club will continue to evolve with renovation projects to include, a redesigned pro-shop, driving range upgrades, and the purchase of over $600,000 in new golf course maintenance equipment.
